Hello and Happy New Year! It's 2019! Thank you so much for coming back and reading and commenting and liking the blog posts. SMILE. My name is Mrs. Robinson and some also call me Mother Robinson. My husband and I are the grateful senior leaders of Bible Way Church. We've been sharing a little about ourselves these last 6 weeks on the BWET Blog so that you can get to know us better. This blog series is called "Learn About Bible Way and Our Leaders!" Check out prior weeks by clicking the link(s) below... Week 1 Week 2 Week 3 Week 4 Week 5 Week 6 So what am I gonna share this final week of the series? Click the "Read More" link below to see. I am going to share my professional and ministry experience, too, just as my handsome husband did last week. SMILE.
After high school I joined the all women's corp division of the US Army. I aspired to become a sergeant in the army. However, after marrying my husband and starting a family he and I decided that I would get out of the army so that we could better raise our family. I understood the challenges that my family would face if both my husband and I continued serving as soldiers in the army. It was a different time back then in the army than it is now. Of course, I would have loved to fulfill becoming a sergeant. I have sympathy for the mother and father who makes sacrifices for their family's success. I consider myself to be tremendously blessed... I have been able to care for children and families as part of my career. I started out with child care services in my home. I was certified as a Family Child Care Provider in 1974 for eight children in a home setting at Stewart Field, Newburgh, New York. Yes, that was my start! After that for 27 years, I worked as lead teacher for 3rd through 5th grades at the School Age Center, US Army Garrison, in Seoul, Korea and also Fort Huachuca, Sierra Vista, Arizona. My passion for children and families continues in the church. I mentor and teach the women of Bible Way Church how to love their husband, children and family through our sisterhood which is called Elect Lady Ministries. The beautiful women in the church support the mission of the church through leadership, teaching, hospitality, cleaning, love and care. The women of Bible Way Church are AWESOME mothers, wives, friends, sisters, daughters, bosses, employees and daughters of the KING of kings. I enjoy serving them and serving with them. I also teach Sunday School and am currently the Sunday School Superintendent of our church. I provide christian counseling for persons experiencing difficult marital, family and children relationships along with my husband. I also have a great love that flows from Jesus for those who are grieving. I provide grief counseling to persons experiencing the death of a loved one in our community. I am a grief liaison that supports our military and civilian communities in Cochise County, Az. I am thankful for my spiritual heritage that began with the Original Church of God and was later further cultivated through the teaching, love and life of the late Bishop Andrew C. Jackson. Under Bishop Jackson's leadership, I was saved and baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ in 1973, at Bible Way Church Atlas Road, Columbia, SC. I have been living for Jesus and loving His people in a greater way ever since. No matter where you come from... No matter what you've done... No matter what you have experienced... Bible Way Church, my husband and I are excited to receive you in the grace and love of Jesus Christ. Bishop Robinson and I shared our lives with you over these past 6 weeks on this blog. And this was nice. But nothing can replace building relationships in person. Come join us for one of our worship services. We would love you to be our guest. And then after that...join our family. SMILE.
