Psalm 34:1 I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth. October 22, 2019, included events that allowed me to learn to rest in the providence of God and to partner with others to get an issue resolved. It is quite interesting how something can cause irritation in a moment in time, but it is minor and unworthy of the attention I give it and the negative emotions and thoughts that ricochet in my being. I’m still learning the lesson that even if I’ve done all the right things and have been proactive that I am still subject to things not falling into place, I can be denied, and I can be delayed. Thankfully, I have matured over time and I am increasingly accepting this fact of life. I am still learning the balance of self-advocacy, expecting the best of people, contributing my best in the world, and doing all of this with love and grace. Amid these concerns, I recognize that there are innumerable benefits of me keeping praise in my mouth for God. When I cannot [accomplish a pressing task], instead of rehearsing my irritation or allowing it to lead in my decision-making, I can rest in Adonai Shamma and bless the Name of the LORD. I can invite God into my situation and see the LORD’s goodness. I wonder how my day could have been so much richer had I taken a considerable break from my irritation and meditated on the goodness of the LORD. I wonder how much more rest I could have experienced had I been more intentional to invite ELOHIM into my problem-solving. Oh, I wonder how much more ease I could have had in my day had I worshipped Jesus for who He is and asked that He grant me wisdom, insight and favor for my day during my fourth watch of prayer. These are the lessons learned that give me wisdom and insight for my future.
Meditating on the goodness of God is the greatest investment that I can make. Worshipping the LORD and keeping God before me is not only sweet it is most prudent. The LORD is the Creator of all and the Judge of the earth that always does right. Because of who God is I can bless the LORD at all times. Because of who God is I can praise the LORD continually. ELOHIM is majestic and beautiful in every way! Prayer: ELOHIM, You were gracious to me today even when I was not faithful to bless You throughout the day. Thank You for showing Your goodness to me despite my representation of you in the world that is often lacking. You gave me a sphere of influence to contribute Your love and light to so that a divine legacy can be established. I am encouraged to be bolder in my love and respect of others. I am encouraged to shine brighter for you in my city, Yeshua HaMashiach. You have deposited in me the ability and will to do Your good pleasure. I say yes to Your plan and receive the grace to be who You’ve called me to be in the earth. I find rest in You as I invite You into every aspect of my life. I look forward to partnering with You tomorrow and in the future. I praise You for these and all manifold blessings, in the Name of the LORD Jesus Christ. Amen. _____ written by Myrina K. FANTASTIC, brief read. Captivating. I will admit, I am guilty of being irritated to a degree that it robs me of much more than I ever wanted to pay. Thanks for the reminder that we can, indeed, take everything to God in prayer, including through praise. It's a choice. I CHOOSE to praise and release gratitude. THAT'S where breakthrough happens!
