I remember my first worship experience in a spirit-filled church in New York. My girlfriend at the time (who is now my beautiful wife) invited me to go with her. It was somethin' else. The people were rejoicing and praising God with such liveliness. Even though I had experience with God and knew him, my lifestyle had drifted away from the LORD. During the experience, the love of Jesus confronted my heart and started me on a journey to know Him in a deeper way. Honestly, the worship service was NOT something that I was accustomed to at the time. There was music and clapping and raised voices and dancing and the exuberantly preached word! Lean in. Between you and me...let's just say it left a lasting impression upon me. Ha! And for that I am thankful. The presence, love and leading power of God from the encounter at that worship service started me on the journey that led me to my spiritual father, Bishop Andrew C. Jackson, and Bible Way Church of Atlas Road (i.e. BWCAR). I experienced many more spirit-filled worship services being part of BWCAR and learned to worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. Encountering the LORD Jesus Christ is the priority of ALL worship services of Bible Way Emmanuel Temple (BWET). We, BWET, are a family where every person is important, and Jesus Christ is Lord. Our worship services are meetings were we are equipped to fulfill our church mission. Our church mission is "Building relationships and promoting spiritual growth through excellence in Christian ministry." So,..... What is the worship service like at Bible Way Emmanuel Temple? We believe that the worship experiencing begins with YOU. The LORD Jesus made it plain that He is seeking those who will worship Him in spirit and in truth and that we should gather together for worship (John 4:24, Hebrews 10:25). Before you come to worship with us we encourage that you set an expectation to meet the LORD Jesus Christ at Bible Way Church! All are welcome to our church services as follows: Tuesday 6:30 PM Bible Study Thursday 6:30 PM Prayer Sunday 9:45 PM Christian Education Sunday 11:45 p.m. Worship Service What should you wear? On Sunday mornings your dress can range from business casual to a "Sunday's Best" suit & tie, shirt & skirt or dress. On Tuesday and Thursday night services feel free to dress in casual to business casual wear. Ultimately, we desire for you to come in clothes that you can comfortably worship the LORD in! We are located at 401 E Wilcox Drive, Sierra Vista, AZ. Need a ride to church? Let us know by giving us a call at 520-439-0505, at least 48 hours in advance of our church services, if possible. A staff member will contact you within 48 hours. We have members that are willing to pick you up and bring you to church. For families we will have a member to pick you up, for women and children, we will have one of our female members to pick you up and for the men, one of our male members. If you're driving on your own, when you arrive at our church we can help you get in and out of the parking lot seamlessly. We like for everyone that comes through our doors to feel comfortable and feel loved by our members. Greeters will be readily available to help you and your family get settled in for an exciting service. We greet people with hugs and handshakes with the love of Jesus Christ. We certainly encourage you to bring your own Bible with you, but if you don't have one we keep bibles (and hymnals) in every row of chairs in the sanctuary. We begin our services with a greeting, prayer, bible reading and singing. We have a growing praise team that loves to worship and help others worship God in Spirit and truth. We love to worship and praise God with visual aide to help you follow when the praise team is singing. Our praise loves to welcome Christ in our worship service and we let God’s Spirit move during the service. Our church services are about an hour, but we do honor the move of the Holy Spirit and are flexible with the length of time according to His leading. Worship continues in the Word of the LORD being either taught or preached. We are Bible Way! We believe in the Word and live by the Word that ELOHIM left us in the Bible. You will get a MIGHTY dose of the Word of the LORD. If you have questions, please write them down. After Sunday service you can share any questions that you may have and we will provide an answer or seek the LORD to get one. During Tuesday and Thursday services, feel free to ask your question when the congregation is asked to participate. After the taught or preached word, we give you an opportunity to respond to the message of the LORD Jesus Christ. You can accept Jesus as your LORD and Savior. You can be baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ according to Acts 2:38. You can seek and be filled with the Holy Spirit. You can join with a minister who will pray with you and for you. We often ask that you respond to the message by coming to the altar where ministers and more importantly, the power and presence of the Holy Ghost, will meet you. We continue our worship in cheerful giving of tithes and offerings! It is more blessed to give than to receive (Acts 20:35). I am so grateful for the heart of each and every member of BWET. We are givers and we are blessed INDEED. When you give, my friend, the LORD is compelled to bless you richly because you are operating in His giving nature. After all of this has been done the formal benediction and closing prayer is released with joy and the people of God that gather in our church embrace each other, encourage each other and fellowship before returning home or the next activity in your day. Sometimes on Sundays we have one of our famous shared meals. The members of BWET really show out. I've had MANY wonderful meals after service at Bible Way. Ha! It's the truth. We love each other and our fellowship is a signature part of our church culture. Please DO NOT feel like you have to bring something in order to eat with us. You are welcome to join and eat with us during a shared meal. Just as a recap, this is what to expect during our worship services: An encounter with the LORD Jesus Christ A warm and friendly environment Great, loving people Uplifting worship and music The powerful taught or preached Word of the LORD Time to respond to the LORD Jesus Christ. An opportunity to give cheerfully Beautiful fellowship with the people of God who have gathered We love you! We're ready for you to come and join us in worshiping Jesus Christ our Lord. WE WILL SEE YOU SOON. ___ Bishop Earnest E. Robinson, Sr.
