Mercy Over Judgement

Psalm 34:16
The face of the Lord is against evildoers, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.

My God is merciful. The LORD is the judge of the whole earth and the LORD will do right. I believe that God is fully developed and is good, is loving and is patient. I also believe that God is righteous, and sovereign and just. Hosea 6:6 thankfully shows that God desires to lead with love and mercy. This is overwhelming considering that God is fully within right to exact righteousness and judgment in the life of every human being. The love, grace, and mercy of God hold back the wrath of God. This is all possible because before the foundation of the world the Lamb was slain and because of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ that was seen by humanity. I literally had to stop and worship God for this revelation and understanding.
I think when one knows this and daily communes with ELOHIM, they are compelled to release the gospel and evangelize that souls can be won to Jesus Christ. I do believe that the full gospel involves leading and emphasizing the life one has in Jesus Christ through the love, grace, and mercy of God. I also believe that the full gospel involves warning people against a life of sin and their choice of fire, brimstone, and destruction. We can choose life or death. Sharing this fact is what one must do to share the full gospel responsibly. It is sobering to know that God has a fully developed character which allows him to both love humanity with and be set against the evil of humanity. I believe that by not having both aspects of this truth in our teaching, preaching and prophesying this has led to immaturity in the Body of Christ. Also, many in the world are suffering because they have not been compelled to come out of sin.

For a long time, I leaned more towards the judgement of God and held a self-righteous and prideful stance against others. I lacked love and patience and understanding for others and for myself. Receiving the revelation of the loving Parenthood of God has been instrumental to me growing in my love walk and willingness to love others well and be a minister of reconciliation. Because I know that I have sinned against God and have still received mercy, I can operate with compassion and longsuffering with evildoers around me. I must daily decide to do this and not respond to my flesh that wants revenge. It is not the will of God that any of us should perish. Thanks be to God who gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:57)!

Prayer:
God of mercy, I repent for every time I failed to show compassion to someone. Forgive me for holding actions indefinitely against others who have sinned. Forgive me for not operating out of love and longsuffering with evildoers. Help me to understand when I must use wisdom and establish boundaries with evildoers and when I must open my heart and my life to them and build relationship. Help me be generous in love and patience with others around me as I follow Your example. Let me always hear Your voice as You direct me and stand behind me in the way that I should go. I receive this and all blessings in Jesus’s Name. Amen.
